Applicants must bring their completed application and payment for the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigations to the Sheriff's Office between 8AM and 11AM and 1PM to 4PM Monday through Friday.  The Sheriff's Office charges a $25 fingerprinting. Applicants must provide a passport photo.  Photographing service is not available at the sheriff's office. Completed applications, fingerprints and photographs will be sent to the OSBI by the Sheriff's Office. The OSBI will determine if an application is approved. The Sheriff's Office does not issue licenses.  If an application is approved by the OSBI a letter will be sent to the licensee's home.  The license will be sent to the Sheriff's Office.  Licensees can retrieve their card from the Sheriff's Office during regular business hours. All civil process issued by the Courts are submitted by the Courts to the Sheriff's Office for service.  The Sheriff's Office charges a $50 fee for papers issued in-state and a $70 fee for papers issued out-of-state. Fingerprinting services for employment background and other authorized reasons are provided by the sheriff's office for a fee of $25.00. All accompanying paperwork must be submitted to the Sheriff's Office before fingerprinting can be performed.  The fingerprinting system in use at the Sheriff's Office is a Live Scan Fingerprinting machine maintained by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigations.  The Sheriff's Office cannot deviate from the guidelines set forth by the OSBI. No parent likes to think about the possibility of their children being abducted or missing but, if the horrible happens, providing law enforcement with the most tools raises the chances of a child being found.  Always maintain a current photo of your children. Fingerprints are also a god tool to assist law enforcement. Occasionally, the Sheriff's Office will establish times and places for fingerprinting your children.  Also, depending on availability, the Sheriff's Office can provide a child fingerprint kit which includes child fingerprint cards and instructions for fingerprinting your children. Sheriff Sales are conducted on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10AM at the Sheriff's Office.
