The Rogers County Sheriff's Office exists to serve the citizens of Rogers County, Oklahoma and to protect the lives, property and rights of all persons. 

The Rogers County Sheriff's Office is under the direction of Sheriff Scott Walton and operates a county jail, a patrol division, investigative division, a communications center, an administrative division and provides court services for the Rogers County Courthouse.  All deputies serving the people of Rogers County are sworn peace officers and attend the Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training (C.L.E.E.T.) Law Enforcement Academy. 

 

The deputies of the Rogers County Sheriff's Office are sworn peace officers given the charge of upholding the law and protecting all citizens.  As the uniformed presence, the patrol division is the most publicly visible division of the department and operates a fleet of patrol vehicles.  Patrol deputies respond to emergency calls, enforce traffic laws, prevent crime and apprehend criminal offenders.  The deputies are responsible for serving civil process and the execution of arrest warrants. The uniformed deputies of the patrol division are the front line of protection for the citizens of Rogers County.

The Communications Division of the Rogers County Sheriff's Office operates 24 hours a day 7 days per week and is the first point of contact for all persons calling the sheriff's office for emergencies.  The Communications Division handles all 9-1-1 calls for law enforcement, fire and emergency medical services.  The Communications Division is also the life line for the patrol division of the RCSO and for several other police agencies throughout Rogers County.  The demanding nature of the division leaves little room for error and the professional men and women serving in the Communications Division are relied upon by the public and emergency workers for their safety.  The Communications Division, aside from dispatching calls for service and operating the 9-1-1 system, is also tasked with conducting criminal records checks, warrant checks. vehicle and property registrations and arranging for the unlimited number of services that may be needed in the performance of law enforcement duties.

The Administrative Division of the Rogers County Sheriff's Office provides leadership and support for all areas of the Sheriff's Office.  The Administrative Division is led by the sheriff and is responsible for the budget, equipment, maintenance, public relations, crime statistics, and many other administrative duties.  The Administrative Division assigns deputies and employees to their position.  Division personnel include the Undersheriff and Jail Administrator.  All Division leaders report to the Administrative Division and carry out orders issued by the administration.  The Administrative Division is also responsible for internal affairs and the conduct and discipline of all employees serving within the Rogers County Sheriff's Office.

 

The Detention Division of the Sheriff's Office operates the county jail facility.  The men and women serving in the Detention Division are responsible for the security of the facility and guarding inmates housed at the Rogers County Jail.  The detention officers are charged with preventing escapes and operating the jail in a manner compliant with the many rules and regulations required by state and federal law.  The detention officers work in a difficult and often dangerous environment and have a tremendous amount of responsibility in the day-to-day operations. The detention officers are responsible for the custody, welfare, services and programs of the inmate population and provide for the security of the general public. 

The Court Services Division of the Sheriff's Office is responsible for the safety and security of the Rogers County Courthouse.  Deputies assigned to the Court Services Division are responsible for transporting inmates, escorting prisoners to and from the Courthouse and providing security for the judges, employees and citizens working in or visiting the Courts.  The deputies are also responsible for complying will any and all orders issued by the Court.  Court Services deputies sworn peace officers

The Investigations Division of the Rogers County Sheriff's Office is responsible for conducting thorough investigations of crimes reported within the jurisdiction of Rogers County.  Detectives working in the Investigations Division are sworn deputies.  In addition to conducting follow-up investigations based on reports, the Investigations Division also initiates investigations based on intelligence gathered from field deputies or citizens and provide investigative assistance to other law enforcement agencies.  The Investigations Division also coordinates with other law enforcement agencies for joint investigations.  The detectives assigned to the Investigations Division are responsible for investigating homicides, sex offenses, robberies, crimes against persons and property crimes.
